Tom Griffith is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor, YACEP Teacher Trainer and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).During 2020 and 2021, while teaching online, I began calling my classes Creative Ashtanga. Really, I wanted to teach what I wanted to; vinyasa yoga in the way that I learned it. Following the pattern of the breath through poses and counter poses is the foundation.
In each Yoga with Tom class, I focus on a particular area of the body; an aspect of movement, strength or flexibility; or the more subtle internal alignment and movement of energy. I offer therapeutic pose options using props and customized variations. There is no music in class so that you may more easily focus and listen to the subtle aspirant sound of the breath. My great hope is to help you have a felt experience of this subtle connection to breathing and movement. I can help you practice the technique and to hopefully enjoy doing it. You have to breathe, might as well make it interesting. |
